The MBA core curriculum emphasizes a broad range of skills in managerial accounting, policy and planning, strategy systems, strategic marketing, international business, data analytics, financial management, and organizational behavior. Plus, you will benefit from more specialized courses in organizational design and theory, human resource management, and the legal and regulatory aspects of business.

Your business master's degree can be tailored to more specific career goals in one of five concentrations, also available online: Accounting, Cyber Security Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing or Sports Administration.

Note: The MBA program is comprised of 30 credit hours. However, an additional nine credit hours of foundation courses may be required based on a review of transcripts.

Tuition

Tuition for the MBA – General online degree program is the same for in-state and out-of-state students and can be paid by the course. Foundation courses are an additional $500 per credit hour. All fees are included.

Admissions

Our very reasonable admission requirements allow students from diverse academic backgrounds greater access to the MBA – General online program. You must hold an undergraduate degree and submit transcripts from all institutions previously attended, along with a resume.

MBA Online Admission Requirements

The following criteria are used for admission to MBA online programs, based on cumulative undergraduate GPA.

  • 2.75 or greater GPA—Must submit transcripts and resume
  • 2.5 to 2.749 GPA—Must submit transcripts and resume and have at least three years of progressive administrative work experience
  • 2.33 to 2.49 GPA—Must submit transcripts, resume, a GMAT/GRE score, and have at least four years of progressive administrative work experience

The MBA – General online curriculum is comprised of 10-13 courses (30-39 credit hours), including 21 credit hours of core courses, nine credit hours of electives, and up to nine credit hours of foundation courses based on a review of transcripts.

This course focuses on the acquisition of capital and debt, long-range and annual budgeting, budget management, cash flow management, short-term debt financing, and interfacing with operation functions.

Duration: 7 weeks   |   Credit Hours: 3

This course looks at concepts, theories and practices in public, private and non-profit organizations of policy-making, strategy, planning, budgeting and various implementing systems. The case-study method is integrated with a contingency approach to management. This course should be taken after most of the MBA core courses have been completed.

This course is a comprehensive overview of market analysis for new and ongoing products and services. Competition, innovation and the integrated organization of marketing and sales are also examined. A computer-marketing simulation is utilized.

This course provides an introduction to the international business environment and the practices of multinational corporations in functional areas such as strategic planning, foreign investment, international marketing, logistics, financial management, taxation, human resource management, etc.

This course provides an introductory framework to understand the structure and dynamics of data analytics for business in relation to descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics through the use of data, quantitative mathematical and statistical models, and information technology software and applications. Graduate students will apply data analytics for business tools to help decision-makers gain improved insights about their business operations; and therefore to support them to make better, rational, fact-based and data-driven business decisions.

This course provides a micro-perspective on organizations within the context of motivation, leadership, communication, interpersonal relations and group dynamics. Students will be encouraged to apply theoretical material to case studies and their own organizations.

This course views the organization from a macro perspective including the domestic and global environment. Size and technology are also explored in determining the structure and process of design while providing students with "diagnostic" skills.

This survey course of human resource management examines human resource planning, equal employment opportunity, staffing, performance appraisal, compensation management, training and development, quality of work life, health and safety, and labor-management relations. The legal environment surrounding human resource management practices is explored.

This course examines how managers today face the complexities of legal and moral responsibilities created by administrative rules and procedures, which govern all phases of business. Study of actual case law involves the learner in making both ethical and legal decisions.

This course is an intensive study of accounting principles and practices for those with no previous background in accounting. The collection, reporting and interpretation of the financial data of a modern business firm is emphasized.

This course provides an overview of basic probability and statistical techniques to provide a foundation in the use of statistical methodologies and the interpretation of the findings in analyzing business data.

The purpose of this course is to provide the foundation for understanding accounting, economics, statistics and case study analysis. The development of the aforementioned basic skills occurs within a business-organization context and recognizes previously completed courses as well as experiential learning.
